Shoes: swap the loafer for the slingback pump in black leather, five-centimetre heel. Celine's slingback has a square toe and an elasticised strap. It stays on the foot when you stand from the table.

After-party: the slip dress

Midnight. The DJ arrives. Humidity returns. Now the silk slip dress, Celine's bias-cut version in black, mid-calf length, with a cowl neckline and spaghetti straps. The silk is sandwashed, which means it has a matte finish and does not show sweat.
