A winter evening in Milan or New York presents the same physics: you need a coat substantial enough for the walk from the car, but the restaurant will be overheated. The interior is nylon, which means you can carry a lip balm or a pen without worrying about staining. The metal triangle logo is visible but not large. The bag works because it is not trying to be anything other than what it is: a container that looks correct in a formal room.

Black saffiano is the standard. Prada rotates seasonal colours, but they age poorly. The black does not.

What Not to Do

Do not add a blanket scarf. Do not layer a shirt under the cashmere. Do not carry a tote when a structured bag will do the same work with more intention.
